BANZ ABBEY

Banz Abbey is just 12 km southeast of here towards Bamberg. Constructed in the 1070s, it has changed hands many times during its history and had to be rebuilt after the Thirty Years’ War. Interested visitors can join guided tours through the lavishly decorated inner rooms and their impressive, frescoed ceilings.

The Basilica is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the area and lies between Bad Staffelstein and Lichtenfels. KULMBACH BEER

In the old margrave city of Kulmbach, a multitude of cultural and culinary attractions impress visitors from all over the world. The well-preserved historical buildings in the city have become emblems of a whole region. The imposing castle complex was the setting of the Kulmbach Beer Week for many years. From the hotel, you reach Kulmbach by driving around 45 km in an easterly direction.
